Eilat Stone

The Eilat Stone (chrysocolla and malachite) is a blue-green copper bearing stone. It was originally mined from the Timna copper mines, which were just north of the northern end of the gulf of Aqaba, in what was then called Edom, just south of Moab. There were two other mines in the area at Feinan and Punon; these three are commonly called “King Solomon’s mines”, and were north of the present city of Eilat. The ore bodies were exhausted long ago, so now other copper bearing stones are sometimes imported to sell as Eilat stones.

Flint

In the past Flints were used to protect one against the magic of elves and faeries, and small pieces of Flint were placed in the house to protect it against lightning because this stone was/is sacred to the God Thor (or Donar). The healing powers of the Flint concentrate on the hormones, the kidneys and the nerves. It protects its wearer against inflammations and infections of the kidneys and the urinary tract. Also all endocrine glands that produce the hormones are strengthened by wearing this stone. Garnet is said to have been one of the twelve stones in the Breastplate of the High Priest, and has been used as a sacred stone by the Native American Indians, the South American Indians, the Aztecs, the African tribal elders, and the Mayans. It acts with speed to expand one’s awareness due to the flash of lightening contained within, and enhances one’s internal fire to bring creative powers to implementation. Garnet was used to enhance truth, faith and constancy, and to dispel melancholy. As a Warrior’s Stone, Garnet served as a talisman in the Crusades for both the Christians and their Muslim enemies.

All Garnets honour Sekhmet, the Egyptian Goddess of War. The traditional birthstone of those born in January and those born under the zodiac sign of Aquarius. An enhancer, a strengthener crystal, it has been worn for centuries as a protective and powerful talisman.

Garnet is also known for its utilization of creative energy. It grounds spirit forces within the body and helps in the ability to work lovingly on the physical plane. Yet Garnet is a sensual stone.
